MLTC Members and interested partners,
The Missouri Land Trust Coalition is pleased to host and invite you to attend the LTA Standards and
Practices workshop entitled “Conservation Easement Drafting and Baseline Documentation” as part of
our biannual MLTC meeting on Friday, January 29 in Columbia Missouri.
Attached is information about the workshop and meeting, as well as the Registration Form. PLEASE
REGISTER BEFORE Wednesday, JANUARY 27, 2010.
All members and interested partners are encouraged to attend. Understanding and drafting conservation
easements and baseline documentations that are legally defensible in the future will be increasingly more
important as the interest in conservation easements increases among private landowners in Missouri who
want to conserve their land.
Because drafting these documents is complex and often require legal review and consultation, we are
also encouraging attorneys to attend this workshop by providing 9 hours of CLE credits (approval
pending). Therefore, please forward this invitation to lawyers in your community who provide legal
services to your land trust – or other attorneys who may be interested in this topic.
Because conservation easements are also held or supported by government agencies, we encourage
state and federal staff who are involved with conservation easements to attend.
If you have questions, you may contact me or other members of the MLTC Development Committee:
